4G SIM Card Collection Update

Exciting news!!! 4G SIM cards are now available for collection from Customer Care, however, before you rush to collect your SIM, there are a couple of important things that you need to know:

  • 4G SIM cards are available for collection from Customer Care prior to 12 January 2021 for current Telecom mobile customers only.
  • Customer Care offices are located on New Cascade Road and are open to the public between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. These offices will be closed from 4pm Thursday 24 December 2020 and will reopen at 9am on Monday 4 January 2021.
  • To collect a 4G SIM you will be required to complete the registration process, please ensure that you bring photo ID to verify your identity.
  • If you already have a Telecom mobile number you will be allocated the same mobile number and, the credit balance on your 2G SIM will be transferred to the 4G SIM at the time of ‘go-live’.
  • 4G SIM cards (for Telecom mobile customers) are free, however, if you lose your 4G SIM you will be required to purchase a replacement.
  • 4G SIM cards will not work until the system goes live, customers can continue to use their 2G SIM until this time.
  • Once the 4G network is live 2G SIM cards will not work.
