Communicate easy 3G/4G

The Norfolk Telecom’s new website is now up and running. Connect to www.norfolktelecom.gov.nf to find out all about our plans and how to connect to the new 4G/3G system, which is scheduled to be launched on Monday 2 November – our ‘Go Live’ date. From that day you will be able to visit many places on the island while staying connected.

Perhaps you want to chat to friends and family overseas via social media while you are down at the beach. Maybe you would like to show friends the view from the top of Mount Pitt. From ‘Go Live’ this will all now be possible.

IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

The new 3G/4G system will ‘Go Live’ at 1 am on Monday 2 November 2020.

To use your phone from that time, you will need to do the following things:

  1. Confirm that your mobile phone is 3G/4G compatible (see the FAQs on our website for more details).
  2. It is anticipated that customers will be able to collect a new 4G SIM from Customer Care in early October. The Selfcare App is under development and will be available to customers prior to the ‘Go Live’ date. Keep an eye on our media releases for the exact dates that these SIMs will be available.
  3. Once the Selfcare App is available and you’ve downloaded it from the Google Play Store, or the Apple Store, you can then follow the instructions on your screen. A link to both stores will be available at www@norfolktelecom.gov.nf
  4. The friendly team at Norfolk Telecom will get you fully set-up including migrating you to the most appropriate price plan.
