Telecom 4G SIM Card Collection

Telecom’s 4G service is scheduled to go live next week on Tuesday 12 January, 2021.

To ensure that you are able to use mobile phone and data services after the network is live, your phone will need a new 4G SIM card. Existing Telecom customers can collect a 4G SIM for free from Customer Care, these offices are open Monday to Friday - 9am to 4pm. The registration process requires a form of ID such as a driver’s licence or passport, please ensure that you bring this with you.

When registering for the new service you will be allocated the same mobile number that you have now and, on 12 January 2021, your credit balance from the 2G network will be transferred to your new 4G SIM.

Regular updates will be posted in the lead up to go live date, so be sure to keep an eye on the Norfolk Island Regional Council (NIRC) Facebook page - NIRC2899 -  this week and next for more information.
